The story, unedited

Not a pitch deck. A documentation of what was actually built — month by month, in a 1,100-metre mountain valley with no agri-tech playbook to follow. Every photograph is from the real construction and cultivation process.

Proprietary Technology

AanganOS

AanganOS is the operating system of this farm — not a separate product. It is the digital infrastructure layer connecting every physical unit: sensors in the growing rooms, dashboards for hydroponics, traceability from substrate to shelf, and eventually a farmer network across the valley.

This website is the first visible layer of AanganOS. The app being assembled will control hydroponics nutrient dosing, monitor the controlled cropping room, manage inventory, and generate QR-traced product labels — all from one interface.

Layer 01
Environmental Intelligence — IoT sensors monitoring temperature, humidity, CO₂ and substrate moisture across growing rooms in real time.
Layer 02
Farm Operations App — Mobile + web dashboard for hydroponics control, crop scheduling, yield logging, harvest management. In architecture phase.
Layer 03
QR Traceability — Every product batch gets a scannable trail from compost input to packaged output. Premium market access and consumer trust.
Layer 04
Farmer Network — Designed to extend beyond this farm. Connecting partner growers, aggregating supply, scaling the model without scaling the land.
AanganOS App — In Development
Single interface to control hydroponics dosing, monitor the controlled cropping room, track inventory, generate traceability labels, and view farm analytics. Architecture being assembled now. This website is its first deployed module.

The Model

One system. Everything connected.

Not separate businesses. One circular enterprise where output of every unit feeds another — and AanganOS ties it all together digitally.

🍄
Mushroom
Controlled-environment cultivation. Substrate composted on-site. Spent substrate enriches nursery soil.
🌿
Hydroponics
Recirculated water. High-value greens and herbs. IoT-monitored via AanganOS app.
⚙️
Processing
Drying, grading, packaging. Mushroom powder, soup mix, value-added products for wider markets.
Café + Nursery
Farm-to-table experience. Nursery sales. Agri-tourism. The land itself as a destination.

Our Home

The Chenab Valley

The Chenab Valley sits at ~1,100m in Doda district, J&K. Its cool high-altitude climate makes it a natural environment for mushroom cultivation and controlled-environment agriculture — without the energy burden of lower elevations.

Rana Farm Fresh was built here deliberately — not as a compromise, but as proof that precision agri-enterprise belongs in the mountains.
